UK orders and postage
Our deadline for orders for same day dispatch is 17.00 (5pm) Monday to Friday, but we do our best right up to about 17.15. Thereafter dispatches will be done on the next working day.
Unless you select otherwise in our checkout, we will send your order SECOND CLASS which is FREE OF CHARGE to you.
The majority of our orders are sent the same day (both first and second class) but to ensure our fastest dispatch and earliest delivery during busy times, regardless of the size and weight of the package, you can upgrade to first class for just 50p.
We mainly use Royal Mail for our shipments but a handful go via DPD/Interlink.
Royal Mail's delivery targets are as follow:
Once we have dispatched your order, its speed of delivery is under the control of the third party delivery service. We do not refund postage upgrade fees for items delivered beyond Royal Mail's or the courier's target timescales, ie if a package arrives in 3 working days instead of 2 working days.
UK shipments sent by us via courier, usually Interlink, are extremely reliable and will usually be with you the next working day. The cost to us is about £5.
Depending on the value of the order, the weight and size of the items, we may need to use Royal Mail’s Signed For service, which means a signature has to be obtained upon delivery, and we are more likely to use this method if we're sending to a company, a college, flats/apartments, and in the run-up to Christmas.
High value items may sometimes be sent within the UK by Special Delivery to ensure they're adequately insured.
Please leave a phone number with your order just in case we're short on something or there's a query, that way we may be able to reach you quicker than sending you an email.
When we ship your items, provided you have entered a valid email address at the time of placing your order, we will send you a dispatch confirmation. These emails sometimes end up in your junk folder.
Sorry, we no longer offer international shipping.
If you supply us with an old, incorrect or undeliverable address, please contact us immediately just in case we can get it changed for you.
If your order has already been shipped we cannot change the shipping address and we cannot stop it in transit.
We cannot send more items and we cannot refund the ones that have already been sent to you.
At this point it is your responsibility to try and retrieve the items sent to the incorrect address that was supplied to us, this applies to addresses where you used to live for example.
If you can’t get the items or you supplied an undeliverable address, hopefully the package will be returned to us in which case you will need to pay for the items to be reshipped before we can send them to you again.
This will mean you have to wait for the package to be returned to us which takes, on average, 2-3 weeks. One package took 2 months to find its way back to us, but at least it did eventually.
Please note, there may also be a charge for the items to be returned to us in which case we would ask you to cover this too before we ship out to you again.
If the items are not returned to us because of an undeliverable address, we may not be able to make a full refund (it depends on the value) but we would investigate what can be claimed back for you and we would try to support you as best we can because we understand the frustration and disappointment, as well as the cost.
It can take several weeks for claims to be finalised with the likes of Royal Mail.
